Amy Wilczynski

Amy Wilczynski and her husband Rich have lived in Allendale for 30 years. Their three children all attended the Allendale school system and received excellent educations.

In her professional career, Amy works as a leadership coach, partnering with executives, managers, and corporate teams to strengthen communication, strategic thinking, and organizational effectiveness. Her work focuses on helping leaders navigate complex
challenges, create collaborative cultures, and building high performing teams. She has
guided organizations through change and supported top leaders to develop emotional
intelligence skills to create leaders that can evolve in the ever-changing business
environment.

This professional experience has been invaluable in her approach to the Borough. Amy has changed the organizational design of the Borough; she combined the Borough
Administrator and CFO positions and created structural changes in the DPW and the Police
Department.

Her leadership and organizational skills helped shape new systems and operations
throughout the Borough. She created goals and pillars of success for the Council and
created the purpose statement for the governing body: Serving residents to make
Allendale the best place to live. Her skills in conflict management and personality types
have benefited the Allendale leadership team as well as all the employees. She has
worked collaboratively with Federal, State and County leadership as well as the Council, local boards, and community volunteers on various projects.

Amy is very passionate about keeping local politics local. National politics remain so divided
that the leaders serving us on that level are often no longer independent thinkers.
She governs as the Mayor of Allendale and her team has broad support
among Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike.

Amy has accomplished a great deal for Allendale and has laid out detailed plans and
vision for our community in the future. This vision has been planned and executed via
feedback from the voices of our residents and businesses through surveys, town halls,
speaking at community organizations, coffees with the Mayor and being
present at community events. Policies are based around community's input.

Donald McKenna

Donald McKenna has had a lifelong interest in politics and public service, shaped by both family example and professional leadership experience. In 2018, he moved to Allendale with his wife, Crista, and their three children. However, his connection to Allendale began long before that. He has been visiting the town since childhood and even learned how to swim at Crestwood Lake—experiences that helped form his appreciation for the character, pride, and strong sense of community that define Allendale.

Donald and Crista have been married for 12 years and are fully committed to building their future in Allendale. They are raising their children here with the intention of remaining throughout their entire educational journey and, ultimately, through retirement. For their family, Allendale is not simply a place to live—it is home.

Community involvement has always been central to his life. His father served as a board member of D.A.R.E. during his childhood and later became its president. Inspired by that example, Donald became involved in middle school and has continued supporting outreach initiatives and fundraising efforts that strengthen community partnerships. His father is now involved with L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence), and Donald currently has an application submitted to serve as a board member, continuing his commitment to youth engagement and community service.

Professionally, Donald worked his way up from an entry-level position to Vice President of a $20 million company, managing more than 100 employees across four states. He worked in every facet of the business—collaborating with IT to develop proprietary software, partnering with accounting to ensure financial discipline, negotiating with suppliers, and aligning strategy with executive leadership. He helped establish stronger operational practices by developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and played a key role in implementing ISO 9002 quality management standards to improve efficiency, accountability, and consistency across the organization.

He later transitioned into the transportation brokerage industry, where he built his own book of business through dedication to customer service and communication. He currently oversees a team of seven employees, both domestically and offshore. His experience in planning, analytics, leadership, and delivering on commitments has prepared him to serve effectively in local government.

As a father of three children ranging in age from 6 to 11, Donald is deeply invested in the future of Allendale. Two of his children attended Hillside School, with one still there, and his older children now attend Brookside, receiving an excellent education. While he considered running for the Board of Education, he believes he can make a broader impact by serving in local government.

Donald McKenna is ready to serve and ready to lead. He brings proven executive experience, a record of accountability, and a deep personal investment in the future of Allendale. He believes local government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and responsive to the people it serves. He will listen to residents, collaborate with fellow council members, and work diligently to protect the character of the town while planning responsibly for its future. With a lifelong commitment to community, a strong work ethic, and a results-driven mindset, Donald McKenna is prepared to deliver thoughtful leadership and meaningful action for the residents of Allendale.

David Rahal

David Rahal and his wife, Alicia, have lived in Allendale since 2015, where they are raising their three children, all of whom attend the Allendale school system. His connection to Allendale runs even deeper through his family roots, as his father also grew up in town.

David is a husband, father, business owner, and active community volunteer who believes strongly in giving back to the town that means so much to his family. He volunteers as a coach through both the ARC program and the Highland Travel Program, where he enjoys working with local children and families and being involved in the community beyond his professional life.

Professionally, David is an owner of National Cortina, a third-generation family business that supplies imported ingredients to food manufacturers across the country. In that role, he helps lead a growing and complex business that requires strong decision-making, financial discipline, long-term planning, and the ability to work through challenges with a practical, steady hand.

David graduated from Lafayette College, where he played collegiate golf. He began his professional career at Deloitte, where he worked for two years, followed by time working in Spain before joining the family business in 2009. Since then, he has been actively involved in helping grow and strengthen the company while continuing the values of hard work, responsibility, and long-term thinking that come with a multigenerational family business.

David believes local government works best when it stays focused on sound judgment, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and preserving the character of the community. As a husband and father with children in the school system, he understands firsthand the importance of maintaining Allendale as a wonderful place to live, raise a family, and invest in the future.

David would be honored to bring his business experience, community involvement, and commitment to family and town service to the Borough Council.
